Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. to Exhibit at Portable Design China Power Management Conference ....

Worcester, MA, November 16, 2005 — Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. will exhibit at the Power Management 2005 Conference as a platinum sponsor. The conference takes place on November 17th in Shenzhen, China and is organized by Portable Design China, the PennWell Corporation and ACT International. The conference expects attendance from 100 - 150 design engineers who specialize in power design for portable systems. Raymond Zheng, Allegro's Technical Sales Director for China, will be presenting on the broad topic of Power Management for Portables immediately following the keynote speaker.

One of Allegro's goals is to expand the power management line by leveraging our analog power technologies in the area of regulators and controllers. Mark Gaboriault, Strategic Marketing Manager for Allegro's Power Management portfolio, believes that this is a key conference to attend. He states, "By exhibiting at the Power Management conference we will be able to engage with key portable design engineers in China, a market that is vital to our growth. We will have the opportunity to introduce key products within our portfolio enabling us to increase our brand awareness in this high-growth market."
