The A5931 is a three phase sensorless BLDC fan driver IC that incorporates sinusoidal drive to minimize audible noise and vibration. 

The A5931-3 is the latest in the family with a new feature that allows user to adjust deceleration speed from Force Open Loop to Close Loop.

A flexible closed-loop speed control system is integrated into the IC. This eliminates the requirement for a microprocessor-based system and minimizes programming requirements.

The A5931 devices are available in both commercial and automotive grade.
