Packaging

The ACS37010 and ACS37012 are high accuracy, 450 kHz fully integrated Hall-effect current sensors in a fused-lead SOIC-6 package that shares the same footprint as a standard SOIC-8. The ACS37010 features a zero current voltage reference (VREF) output pin for use in noisy supply environments whereas the ACS37012 features an overcurrent fault (FAULT) output pin.

Current flows through the internal conductor coupling the magnetic field generated to the Hall sensor IC. As a result of no physical connection between the current and the IC, high-isolation is achieved. The current is sensed differentially by two Hall plates that subtract out interfering external common-mode magnetic fields. The sensor is factory-trimmed to provide high accuracy over the entire operating range without the need for customer programming.

The ACS37010 and ACS37012 are offered in the LZ fused-lead SOIC-6 package, providing 420 VRMS reinforced isolation and up to 840VRMS basic isolation in a compact and more cost effective package versus comparable SOICW-16 packages.

The LZ package has lower conductor resistance and supports higher isolation versus standard SOIC-8 packages.

  • ±1.5% sensitivity error across temperature
  • Fused-lead SOIC-6 package supports 840 VRMS basic isolation and 420 VRMS reinforced isolation
  • Non-ratiometric operation with VREF output for enhanced accuracy in noisy environments (ACS37010)
  • Fast logic alert fault output pin with factory pre-programmed trip point provides overcurrent or short-circuit detection and enhanced system protection (ACS37012)
  • 0.68 mΩ internal primary conductor resistance for better power efficiency
